Job Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to ensure efficient production. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues. The ideal candidate is reliable, mechanically inclined, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Setup: Prepare machines for operation by adjusting settings, loading materials, and ensuring proper configuration.
Operation Monitoring: Operate machinery according to specifications, monitor performance, and maintain quality standards throughout the production process.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime, escalating complex problems to maintenance or supervisors when necessary.
Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or inconsistencies, ensuring they meet company standards.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any safety hazards.
Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Documentation: Record production data, including output levels, machine issues, and downtime, as required by company policies.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (technical training is a plus).
Experience: Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar role preferred but not required.
Skills:
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
